You know, no matter how much you prep for something, no matter how much you work to ensure that everything is in place and ready before you do something, in my case go on vacation, something always happens to try to throw you off. That’s where I am this week. We leave for our vacation soon and I got thrown off track this weekend. I am on the upswing again, but it occurs to me that this is a trend. Whenever we try to do something good or fun, something tries to derail us. You could be planning to work with a group at church and something in your schedule (a game you forgot about, a sick child, etc.) comes up and throws you off course. You could be planning on going on a mission trip and suddenly you realize that you are short the money needed. You could be going on vacation and get sick just a few short days before. Whatever the case, you know the feeling I’m sure. But those are the times when God says, “Are you going to trust me?”. Even in the little mess ups that throw us off, God wants us to trust that He’s got it all under control.
Remember, God’s got your back!

He sure does! I can’t wait to hear how great things went on your vacation.
Boy, I know that feeling… Inevitably, without exception, every time we plan a vacation, something always comes up… It got to be a running joke, except my wife didn’t laugh at her own jokes.
I’m praying that God works it out for you guys. And for Pete sake, don’t let any of the design stuff your doing for me hold you up! (and thanks for all your help)!
